Their tagline is ” Your Specialty Fruit Store ” , and that is exactly who/what they are. Yea, your first thought is right – they sell fruits but that’s not all.

To put it into perspective, there is La Juiceria, Life Juice, Boost Juice and then there is Dusun. The first thing I liked about them is that they obviously put some thought into making their customers’ life a lil easier, at least for patrons who love their juices. They have the usual cup + straw serving, that goes for between the range of 6.90 ringgit to 9.90 ringgit, and then there is their heavy duty glass bottle that ranges from 11.90 ringgit to 13.90 ringgit.

Those glass bottles, yup!! Look at them beauties. I am currently using them as my drinking water bottles. They are solid and are able to contain quite a bit of water. Do excuse my fascination towards those bottles, i am a little loco that way.

So, anyways, lets get back on track. As you can see, the ones in the bottle are pre-prepared with fixed combinations. By pre-prepared, I mean that it’s already mixed in the morning, filled into bottles and into the fridge for you to grab, pay and leave as opposed to the ‘in a cup’ combo that is usually prepared on the spot, according to what the patron needs and desires. If you are on the go, and you have little time to wait or if you just want to have a go with whatever combinations that are available a.s.a.p, then the bottle is the way to go. They have a variety of combinations – Avo Green, Anti Aging, Vitamin C, Detox Tonic and Thirst Quencher.

I tried the Avo Green, which consisted of an avocado, passion fruit, banana and kafir combination, priced at RM 11.90. I loved it! It was thick and filled with richness. The banana and avocado combo, gave it the sweetish creamy texture, whereas the passion fruit contributed to its slightly sourish taste and crunchiness due to its seeds. I dont know what kafir is, but the whole combination was awesome. It’s something you can buy as a substitute for a meal itself – perhaps breakfast or dinner, because it’s pretty filling and last you for at least 4 solid hours.

I havent had the opportunity to order their ‘in a cup’ juices combo, but these are the combinations that they offer, together with its benefits and purpose.

Will i head there again?

Ooooo yesss! I intend to. Compared to their more reknown counterparts, I think Dusun offers more value for money. For instance, getting something from LaJuiceria almost often leaves me feeling like I have a dent in my pocket, but Dusun is absolutely affordable! In fact, i think Dusun offers better quality and quantity. So heck ya, I am heading there again.
