It is raining daily these days. I had a meeting near Encorp The Strand and between the heavy rain and risking my hair getting all frizzy and afro like, lol, decided to head over to Fifth Palate. Fifth Palate was convenient because I just had to drive over to the guard house, tell them that I want to head to Fifth Palate and they let me in while indicating that I just have to follow the signage. I followed the signs and it lead me straight to Fifth Palate or rather to the covered parking spot opposite this cafe. Once I parked, took about 20 steps forwards and reached Fifth Palate. The parking spots and the cafe is very closed by, convenient during a rainy day.
Baked Eggs, 19 ringgit
This was delicious. I loved it. It was a combination of homemade tomato sauce + pork sausage + egg + mozarella cheese, with a side of croissant-like toasted bread. I wanted something not too meaty, not too wheaty and this dish was perfect. Creamy, cheezy, a little meat from the sausages, the taste of the home made tomato sauce was just right, not overwhelming – mix everything up and you will get yourself a yummy dish. The bread, with a croissant like texture was an excellent choice and complimented this dish well. Loved it.
Peruvian Seafood Pasta, 26 ringgit
This was their take on a pesto pasta. It was a simple pasta that comprised of spicy pesto + calamari + salmon bits. Tasted different from the usual pesto pasta I am accustomed to but no less delicious. While most pesto pasta are presented in a way that the first and last thing you taste is pesto, the pasta here had mild pesto taste but more spiciness with a tinge of lemon aftertaste. It was different yet totally delicious.
Would I head here again?
If I am in the area, why not. Food was good, ambiance was nice and cosy. Would drop by I am nearby.
