Now, why would I say the Bean Brothers is Insta – worthy? Well, head on over to the cafe and you will know why. It totally looks and feels awesome and food taste equally as good.
Looks cool, ey. From the outside, it looks like a warehouse? a production company? mini factory? As soon as you open their elegant, ginormous front door – it’s a different world. It’s noisy, chatters everywhere, laughter, people walking around – talking and/or taking pictures. It’s a good feeling, totally is.
Food wise, I think their MENU CHANGES EVERY WEEK? Not too sure about that but based on observations, that’s my conclusion. Why? Well, I went there twice, one week after the next. The first was during the Independence Day holiday weekend and second, the week after for a farewell brunch. The first time around, I couldn’t snap a picture of their Menu because I had to leave in a rush. Second time around though, I did, lol. I noticed the difference though – the first time around, they had more bread variety whereas the second time around, they had more pasta, burgers and only a few items with bread. I went online to check if anyone else has posted a menu from Bean Brothers, found one and it was different from the items I saw on the Menu from both my visits. So, yea… I guess it’s a good thing, they keeps us guessing.
French Toast, 25 ringgit
Ooo man, this right here was da bomb. I totally got more than I expected. Firstly, check out their presentation, lol. Looked good, yaww. When I first placed the order, I was like “25 ringgit for French Toast? Hmmmm it better be good or else….,” and then it arrived on my table and I was like woaa, it looked good. After snapping a bunch of pictures, lol, I finally got to trying it and it sure tasted as good as it looked. Biscuit crumbs scattered all over, blueberries, bread spread with chocolate + banana, what more can I ask for on a lazy weekend morning? It’s filling, that’s for sure, my stomach was already full halfway through but it was soooo tasty that I just could not let it go to waste. Loved this.
Big Bro, 30 ringgit
This was basically their ‘Big Breakfast’. You get sunny side up eggs, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms, red beans, sausages. It was nice, wholesome and filling. Makes a good dish for brunch.
Prawns Basil Olio, 26 ringgit & Mushroom Mania, 24 ringgit
So, the prawn pasta was basically the non veg version of the Mushroom pasta, at least that’s how I saw it. Both had spaghetti soaked in olive oil – which I love (well, minus the fact that it works well as a lipstick remover, no joke!), the prawns and mushrooms came in generous portions, which I also love. There were some spices, plenty of oil, crunchyness from the mushrooms and prawns and yea – I loved it. Simple yet yummy.
Chocolate Muffin + Ice Cream, 12 ringgit
Yummmmmm, that is all I have to say. The muffin, don’t get me started of the muffin. See the mid part of the muffin in the image, yup – melted chocolate, yaww. It was heated up, so naturally it was all melted and gooey. Now, imagine taking some of that gooey chocolate goodie and dipping it in some yummy, thick Vanilla ice cream? Ooooo man, yummmmm!. A perfect ending to my wonderful time here.
Would I head here again?
Ohh yea, definitely worth another visit and another and another..
