This would be a short post. Many have been to Naughty Nuri’s, so I guess an introduction isn’t necessary. They have several outlets around KL but the one I like most is the one in Life Center, along Jalan Sultan Ismail. Why? Simply because I find the food there taste better.
So, anyways, referring to the “average Joe” in my heading. Well, there are folks who are really particular about their ribs and are willing to pay 100s $$$ for a good piece of meat/bone. I am not one of those folks, although I understand the appeal. I love my chocolates and I am very particular about them, willing to fork out loads of $$$ for my Switzerland made chocolates – so, yea I understand the appeal. However, for me – pork ribs does not equate my desire for chocolates, lol. I do not really care much for the minute details of a pork rib before I ingest them. All I care about is that it taste good – which makes me part of the bigger crowd and also an average Joe. Get my drift?
Anyways, just like all their other outlets, the interior of this restaurant woody, naturalistic. Balinese inspired theme.
What I had at Naughty Nuri’s was all part of their Lunch Specials. With the Specials, you’d get discounts (up to 50%), which I think is very worth it since the food tasted delicious!
Pork Ribs, 24.50 ringgit
This was sooooooooo yummy! Totally value for money too. If you want sweetish + spicy, flavorsome, tender meaty pork ribs? This would totally do it for you. It certainly did for me. I thought I was going to have to put up a little fight when separating the meat from the bone but nope, the meat literally falls off the bone with ease. I couldn’t ask for a better tasting pork ribs. Yum yummmmm.
Nasi Goreng, 12.50 ringgit
Okay, you guys have got to agree with me that there is something special about Indonesian styled fried rice as oppose to our local fried rice. Maybe it is the oil they use? or some spices? I do not know what but whatever they use is enough to make it distinct. This was one plate of deliciousness. Soooo good! For 12.50 ringgit, you would get a plate of delicious fried rice + pork + egg + fish crackers. I just died and went to food heaven. No joke. Every mouthful was as delightful as the first. That is all I’ve got to say.
Would I head here again?
For sure yawwwwws.
