Coffee Good Golly Miss Molly @ Millennium Square, PJ – My go-to cafe on a rainy day

For some reason, I always end up here when it is raining. I guess it is because when it rains, you’d want to head somewhere nearby and this cafe is convenient. Barely 5 minutes away from Jaya Shopping Center, located within Millennium Square,ย  tucked in a relatively quiet corner , is this cozy little eatery.

While I’ve visited this cafe a number of times, I haven’t given their main dishes a try. I almost always end up here in the evenings, past lunch time, so dishes like pasta, burger and rice did not seem fitting. I usually end up having a cup of hot chocolate and a piece of cake. This time however, I intentionally headed there for lunch – I am glad I did because the food sure was delicious. Oooo and did I mention that food here is pretty cheap? Total value for money?

Butter Chicken Rice, 11 ringgit

This was some good stuff. Whenever I was there during tea time, sipping on my hot chocolate, watching dishes pass through my peripheral vision, to their respective tables, I always wondered if the dishes tasted as good as it smelled. Now that I’ve tasted them – I guess they sure do.

I have always been a fan of butter chicken and this one here tasted awesome. Although the gravy reminded me more of salted egg yolk – it didn’t matter though, it tasted yummy. This dish comes with a generous portion of crispy, bonely chicken soaked with creamy butter chicken gravy + an egg + rice + some salad greens. It was a solid meal, that’s for sure, filling and wholesome. All this for just 11 ringgit? Yup, you better believe it. Loved it.

Chicken Chop Burger, 16 ringgit

So, under their chicken burger selection, they offer two options – Chicken Chop and Zinger. The former is pan fried and the latter is deep fried. I opted for the Chicken Chop Burger and boy, it was yummmmmm! Another filling dish, be sure to order this when your stomach is empty.ย

The burger was made up of a combination ofย  burger buns + cheese + a generous portion of a boneless chicken + cucumbers + greens, with a side of fries. It was delicious – juicy, meaty and flavorful. Loved it.

Would I head here again?

Yup. The cafe is cozy, warm and welcoming, the food is tasty and delicious. So yea, I am totally coming back for more.
