Mum’s place is located in Damansara Perdana and it offers an Asian Fusion mix – a perfect blend of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Portuguese, Nyonya. The eatery has been around for more than a decade and has been visited by many local and international artists. Think I am pulling a fast one on you? No joke, here’s proof, lol…..
First up, I call this their Hall Of Fame …. Pictures after pictures of celebrities who has visited the restaurant.
Local celebrities …..

and international celebrities …..

Cool, ey?
The restaurant has an old school, rustic feel to it. Oozes a welcoming feel and it has separate sections around the restaurant, it can accommodate a small and a big group.
Mum’s Sago Gula Melaka, 6.50 ringgit
Well, waiting around after smelling the delicious aroma from the food at other tables, that was a torture. I decided to order this sago dessert instead. Yum Yum! You would get a relatively large chunk of gooey sago with sweetened coconut milk/santan. The sago was soft and moist, and the santan was not too sweet – you can taste more coconut than sugar, just the way I like it. Fattening nonetheless but delicious.
Portuguese “Devil” Curry, 19.30 ringgit
This was some good stuff. If you fancy yourself some spicy curry, Devil curry is it. I’ve been to several other eateries that goes a lil overboard on the spiciness – the kind that makes you sweat and drink lots of water, that was not the kind served here. At Mum’s, the curry was spiced just enough to allow you a perfect balance between spicy and hot. The chicken was yummy too, literally falls of the bone. Having it with rice on the side, delicioussssss.
Foo Yoong Tan (Chinese Style Omelette), 16.80 ringgit
Delicious. This is your usual omelette wit onions.
Would I head here again?
Hell yea! Totally would pay this eatery a visit again.
