Few doors away from Sudo Brew is this 9 month old cafe – The Upperfloor. As its name suggest, it is indeed located on the upper floor, the first floor. Having driven passed this eatery numerous times, I finally decided on giving it a try.
The cafe is located above Panasonic and the entryway is at the side of this store. With obvious signage, it is unlikely to be missed. As soon as you enter and climb up the stairs, it would feel like you have entered a ‘safe’ place. The kind of place that offers you that much needed quiet and calm. A place you can comfortably sit on your own with just your laptop to accompany you. I am stoked, happy to have found a place that i can ‘lepak’ on my own, with no worries of crowd or having to leave as soon as I have finished my meal because someone else is waiting for my seat. None of those. It is a simple cafe that offers me calm, quiet and comfort.
Grilled Chicken & Avocado Sandwich, 13.90 ringgit
This was yummy. plenty of avocado and chicken slices. Simple and light, exactly what I wanted. However, check out their fries though? 8 pieces of fries? First time i have come across this. It is bizarre – my mind still has not wrap around this yet. Who gives you 8 pieces of fries? Who does that? Good thing the sandwich was good though, lol or I would have flip my lid.
Chicken Lasagna + Hot Chocolate (Lunch Set), 24 ringgit
I see loads of cafes serving beef lasagna but not chicken lasagna. Seeing it available here though, naturally I gave it a go. It sure was delicious. If you want cheesy goodness with loads of chicken and pasta, do give this a go. I was literally in a yummy cheesy haze through it all, lol. Definitely worth reordering.
Would I head back here?
I certainly would, especially when I am in dire need for some quiet.
