I visited this restaurant today for brunch. Parking was a torture! Grrrrrrrr. I am sure you guys know how it is. The rows and rows of shops surrounding Atria, always a pain in my butt. After rounding the area for a good 15 minutes, I gave up and decided to just double park in front of the restaurant, lol.
Anyways ……. I wanted to try a new place, somewhere I haven’t been to and with my ‘porky’ cravings of late,Ā Boon made the perfect spot to indulge.Ā
Guess what? Not only do they have roast pork rice, they also serve wan tan noodles! Yay.
R06 Char Siew + Roast Chicken Rice, 10.90 ringgit
This was delicious. Yum yum! The char siew was da bomb. A perfect combination of a lil soft from the pork fats at the bottom of each slice and crunchyness from the chewy pork meat at the top. It has BBQ sauce drizzled all over it, yummy and sweet! The roast chicken, yum yum! They had some black pepper drizzled on it, made it all the more delicious. The chicken itself was tender and juicy. Lets just says – both the meat were delicious, one a lil sweet and the other a lil peppery and it complimented the rice + gravy very well. The rice is not the usualĀ thin rice that comes with chicken/char siew rice. The one used here was bigger, larger. I thought it would have been a problem but nope it all gelled well together. Yummy!
Char Siew + Roast Chicken Wan Tan Noodles, 11.90 ringgit
This was more of a Hong Kong style wan tan noodle, kindda similar to the ones served at Ru Di Fook Noodle Bar (Ru Di Fook Noodle Bar @ Kota Damansara ā Authentically Delicious Wan Tan Noodles with a Touch of Elegance.. )The gravy tasted a lil different, not the usual kechup the locals are accustomed to but no less delicious. Yummy yummy! The pork and chicken meat taste as the ones that accompanied the rice. It perfectly complemented the noodles. I gobbled it all up within minutes. Loved it!.
Would I head here again?
Yes, I would. Getting a parking here is a pain though. If it wasnt for that little blip, I would haveĀ intended to visit this eatery a whole lot more often, especially when it is raining all day, everyday these days.Ā
