Cakes Chinatown Coffee desserts Hotel Jalan Sultan Kopitiam

Lim Kee Cafe @ Tian Jing Hotel, Jalan Sultan – A good place to chill

If you fancy yourself a nice, cozy, modern version of a Chinese style kopitiam – then this is a good place to ‘lepak’ at. However, if that fancy also includes wanting to have a delicious full hearty meal – then nope, you wont be finding a ‘main meal’ here.ย

So, yea, as you can observe from their Menu, they serve mainly a variety of drinks, 1 dish with bread, 1 dish with egg and several cakes for dessert.ย  Worry not though, this kopitiam is surrounded by eateries, front and back, left and right. You could always fill your tummy nearby and walk over here to sit around, relax and chill.

It looks it, ey? A modern version of the old school Chinese Style kopitiam ๐Ÿ™‚ Do expect the same level of noisiness, chatter, liveliness.ย

Tiramisu, 14 ringgit

The cakes here are home made. They have a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic cakes, depends of what you fancy. I decided on the Tiramisu. Since it is from their ‘alcoholic’ variety, the taste of rum is guaranteed. It was the first and last thing I taste with every bite I took. It was not in an overwhelming way though, more like pleasant. As a whole, the cake itself was light and fluffy, not the kind that would lave you stuffed by the time you reach the end.ย

Would I head here again?

Yea, why not? If I am in the area, with time to spare and nothing much to do – then yea, I certainly will pay Tian Jing another visit.
