K2 @ TTDI – Yummm!

K2 a.k.a KomPassion II is the sister to KomPassion in Damansara KIm, PJ. Although both are owned by the same folks, they operate slightly differently – where KomPassion is mainly Thai fusion, K2 covers a bigger range, Asian Fusion. Not that you guys can tell much of a difference, I certainly did not, not with the strong Thai influence, as you’d be able to conclude by looking at their menu

Been wanting to have lunch here for quite a while now but 2 foreseeable reasons, I often cant. First reason, I somehow always end up in the area on a Monday – when they are closed. Second reason my meetings usually are around 10 am, which is about an hour an a half before they open shop. So yea, after many misses, this time around, I finally made it, yay!

The eatery is what I would refer to as – colorful.Β  Every side you turn, you’d see some form of art. Left to right, top to bottom, lol. No joke. It sure is fascinating, not the usual visuals you’d see day to day.Β

See, told ya. The place is casual, cosy. Just all around relaxing. Service was fast and good and food arrived pretty quick.

Menu

Okay, a minor blunder here. One page of the menu accidentally got deleted, based on what we ordered , what I could recall and always with references with several available images available online, I shall include some of the dishes from that page, so that you guys can get an idea of items.

  • Page 1 (The missing Page)

This page contains items such as noodles and fried rice, which basically also includes the cheapest “main meal” items on the Menu:

-Lemongrass Fried Chicken with Rice, 15 Ringgit

-The Phad Thai, 15 ringgit

The Rib and Minced Noodle Soup, 28 ringgit

The Beefy Rice, 28 ringgit

-The Five Spice Chicken Stew with Rice, 15 ringgit

The Poke, 20 ringgit

  • Page 2 ( individual dishes: chicken, salad, curries, tom yum, side dishes)

As soon as we sat in, we were graced by this delicious bowl of prawn crackers? and guess what – its free flow yawww. One bowl finished, request for a refill and you are good to go.

….. and if you order dishes from the ‘missing page’, it also comes with a glass of lemongrass drink.Β  This too is like the crackers – free flow yawww! Finish a glass and they will refill it for you. The drink is refreshing and tasty. Not too sweet, just right.

The Poke, 20 ringgit

Man, this dish was delicious! This is apparently a Hawaiian inspired dish which comes with lemongrass fried chicken , egg, several vegetables and K2’s special peanut sauce. At first glance, every item on the plate seem separated, only to be connected by their special sauce blend but upon mixing it all up, it sure did blend well. Every mouthful was yummy and i would totally order this dish again.

….Β and did I mention that this dish is only 20 ringgit, which also includes free flow of lemongrass drink and prawn crackers? Worth every penny.

The Phad Thai, 15 ringgit

Another yummy dish. The Phad Thai came with 2 options – angel hair or glass noddles, I opted for the former. The ones served here at K2 comes with some butter fried prawns – which was an awesome addition to the dish. Once you mix everything up – it was tasty. The crunch from the crush peanuts, t5he spice from the chili flakes, the slightly sweetish taste from the noodles and the butter prawns, yummmm! Loved it.

Would I head here again?

You can bet I will. Food was delicious, really good value for money. Service was efficient.Β
