Asian Fusion Bangsar South Hotel Mee Goreng Nasi Goreng

Caprilicious: All Day Dining @ Capri by Fraser, Bangsar South – A good place to wait out the traffic jam

The after-work traffic at Bangsar South does get pretty bad. So, you’d find quite a number of us,ย  especially those working in the area, delay heading out and instead, choosing to grab dinner and drinks at Nexus, just to wait out the jam.ย

Nexus sounds appealing, most of the time, some days however, it get kindda boring. When this occurs, we decide to switch it up by eating at Caprilicious. You guys can park at the hotel for 2 ringgit – 2 hours, head on to the Lobby, Ground Floor and you’d see the dining area.

Folks usually give Caprilicious a miss because they believe that the hotel food would entail them to park with quite a bit of cash. However, believe it or not, the food served here is affordable, around the same amount you would spend at Thirdwave, Chili Espresso and Forty Hands.

Mee Goreng, 20 ringgit

I like giving this a go pretty much every single time I am here. Why? Well, besides the fact that it taste good, it also comes in a very generous amount. Literally a plate filled with noodles. You’d get a large portion of fried yellow mee + prawns + tauhu + fried egg + potatoes + sambal on the side. The Mee Goreng has a sweetish flavor to it and then when you add on the sambal – yummy. The spicy and sweet blend is awesome. I always go back home with a satisfied full tummy after indulging in this dish. Do not mind the calories though, lol.

Signature Fried Rice, 25 ringgit

The fried rice was okay. Contrary to what is written in the Menu – “Spicy fried rice with….”, yea – it was not spicy.ย  I used to enjoy this particular dish 2 years back, back in the day when I traveled often , I made sure I drop by to have a go at their fried rice whenever I could. Back then the rice was a whole lot more reddish/brownish as appose to the whitish color it is now. Somewhere along the way, it changed. That isn’t to say that this dish was bad – no, not at all. Perhaps for first timers, this would be a good dish but I came in with ‘prior experience’, hoping I would get the same thing I ordered the last time.ย  Anyways, nothing their delicious sambal cant fix, lol. I added it in and it had all the spicyness I needed. The chicken satay + the chicken drumstick + the fried egg + potato bits was good addition to the fried rice, made it all the more delicious.ย ย

Would I head here again?

Yes, of course ๐Ÿ™‚ย
