We visited this 3 year old cafe today. The cafe is located within a business park of some sort, similar to Damansara Uptown – minus the mall and the popularity and the congestion. In Uptown, there is a residence/condo with shop lots surrounding it, yup – same concept here, except I guess it never really took off? There is a residence in the middle of it called Epic Residence and as for the shop lots around it….Well, except for the row of shops facing the main road, where Diem Cafe is also located, the rest of the shop lots were pretty much vacant. That being said, I might actually come back here for another visit. There seem to be several other eateries here and opposite the road that looked like they are a crowd favorite, so yea – I might be back π
The eatery was simple, cozy. With it white interior, it exuded a bright and lively feel. Orders are taking by the table, so head in, sit down and they will attend to you. The food here is a combination of Asian influences – a lil bit of Taiwanese, Japanese and Korean.
Nasi Lemak with Taiwanese Chicken Chop, 14.90 ringgit
This dish was delicious. I liked it a lot. At first glance, , it is easy to assume that the chicken chop would be a lil ‘dry’ for a nasi lemak, I thought the same thing judging from how it looked like but upon trying it – it tasted yummy. The thin outer layer of the chicken was crispy and crunchy and the inside was tender and juicy. It certainly worked well with the rest of the Nasi Lemak. The sambal was also a favorite of mine. It was spicy and packed with heat but it sure tasted awesome. Would totally give this dish a go again π
Fusion Noodle, 14.90 ringgit
This was another yummy dish. It basically consisted of a Miso + kimchi soup, sweet corn, egg, karaage chicken, noodles. I am not really a fan of Kimchi but it somehow worked here. It blends well with the miso and it tasted awesome. There were about 4 pieces of the Karaage chicken which was yummy too. My only wish is that they would have put in more pieces, lol. The corn… well, lets just say I did not think the corn would work. Thinking about corn in soup , in my mind – it would not have worked but here, it did.Β The corn, the egg, the noodle, the miso+ kimchi soup and the chicken – it all worked. I would also give this dish another go.Β
Would I head here again?
I will be back. Food was yummy.
