** This visit was somewhere mid – end 2017. Misplaced the pictures and found it back. Hence the few months delay on this write up. So, do ignore certain parts of their Menu – seasonal blends? as that might change according to seasons.

This is one of those cafes that is easy to miss if you do not pay attention. It might just pass you by as you drive along. They are located on the first floor and I only discovered them because it was raining and I had to wait around for the downpour to slow down. Had a meeting to attend across the road and as I was waiting, decided to look around and see if there was a cafe nearby that I can head to just to get a drink and work on my laptop for a while before heading back home and Awaits fit the bill.

First thing I did before heading up to the cafe was looking them up on Google. Apparently, Awaits Cafe has been around since 2012 and from what I gather, while they do serve food, they seem to take their drinks rather seriously and are known more for their coffee above everything else, as evident from their range of options. I am not an avid coffee drinker and so I would not be able to tell the difference from one type to another but if you like specialty coffee, then do keep this cafe in mind. They had coffee beans from Sumatra, Guatemala, Colombia, Honduras … I was amazed.

Irish Coffee, 18 ringgit

Now, this drink I can recall pretty well. It was yummy 🙂 soooooo yummy! It was thick, creamy, bitter, a tad sweet – all in one. Basically, it was a combination of hot coffee + irish whiskey + sugar + cream. Imagine sipping this blend on a rainy day, soooo nice. I visited this cafe at when it was not crowded, I basically had the place to my self, had my laptop on, sipping on this yummy cup of coffee, listening to some soothing music on the audio. I had a good time, a chilled out and relaxed time.

Would I head here again?

I have not been back to Awaits since my last visit. I very rarely visit the area but if I did and I simply want to sip on a cup of coffee, I would keep Awaits in mind.
