I am sure you guys know where VCR is right? Yea, the row of houses/shops right behind VCR is where 8haus is located. I kindda like this row – it is quiet, understated and old school. It has character and a certain charm to it.
8haus is a restaurant cum event space located right next to Paloma Inn Hotel. It occupies two floors, the lower floor is the restaurant and the upper floor, the event space. When there are no events, the top floor is open to the patrons of the eatery. You can choose to occupy the bottom or the top floor.

So, apparently this building has been around since the 1920s. Notice the brick walls? Yea, those bricks are like the actual ones from back in the day… how awesome is that? I liked the whole idea – to stick with those old school brick walls and put it on display. It had a peaceful, no stress vibe to it. Does that make sense? It was bright and vibrant. Customer service was good. Music was good, food was awesome. An all around good experience.
Best Haus’ Pork Ribs, 36.80 ringgit + Pork Roulade Linguine, 23.80 ringgit

Food sure was delicious. The pork ribs was da bomb! Not much effort was needed to separate the meat from the bones because it literally falls of it with ease. It was sweet, succulent, tender, chewy all in one. It tasted awesome, real good that the plate was empty within minutes. I only wish that they gave me a bigger pieces because it was not nearly enough, lol. Moreeeee, I need moreeeeee! The salad on the side was refreshing. Plenty of green, tomatoes and a fruit – I cant remember what it is referred as but I do not come across many eateries that serves their greens with this particular fruit – it however works, it provided that ‘kick’, a lil sweet and a lil bitterness to it.
The linguine was yummy! It is one of the crowd favorites apparently and I can understand why. The Roulade had an equal amount of fat and meat to it, with a thin crispy layer surrounding it. It offered different textures – a lil crunch, a lil chewy and to me, it had similar characteristics to siu yuk? I dont know, maybe it’s just me but yea, it was similar in a way. The linguine by itself was tasty, it had some some spice, chilli to it, simple yet yummy, add in the roulade, ooooo yes – Yummmm!
Would I head here again?
Yessssss, I would. Love the place, the food, the ambiance. My whole experience here was good. Certainly would head back here if I fancy something under the radar.
