Grilled Chicken Pork Free Tilapia Fish Burger

Common Man Coffee Roasters (CMCR) @ TTDI – Good Food (Pork Free)

We had a meeting here today and CMCR sure is a good place to have one of those. They occupy a big space and it comes with a rather sleek and posh interior. Seatings are many and well spread out, which mean plenty of privacy – a condusive environment for them office, corporate folks who needs a fairly quiet, presentable space to talk and munch. It is evident that they have put a lot of thought into making CMCR an awesome space.

In terms of the Menu, food and pricing $$$, I suppose you’d be able to find other cafes nearby with a more affordable price tag as the $$$ at CMCR is on the higher end. However, if you are one of those who do not mind forking out as much cash as necessary if the food is good, then I suppose you’d love CMCR.

CMCR Fish Burger, 29 ringgit + Grilled Juicy “Chilli” Bomeless Chicken, 39 ringgit

Grilled Chicken

The Grilled Juicy Chilli Boneless Chicken was delicious. You’d get two large strips/slices of boneless grilled chicken, topped with chilli/tomato puree? I am not too sure about the puree, it provided plenty of flavor and heat but not to an extent that is overwhelmingly hot that it sets your tongue burning. The chicken were grilled perfectly – retaining the tender and juicyness. I enjoyed every bite of it. The dish also comes with a side of crushed avocado salsa, salad and caramelized lemon. Overall, a satisfying dish although I cant comprehend the fact that this dish cost me almost 40 ringgit. Hmmm.

The CMCR Fish Burger, I loved. It was really good. The patty consisted of tilapia fillet + mash potato, which I thought was an awesome combo. The mash acted like a glue, kept the whole fish patty together and it also provided the patty with a rather unusual texture. The taste, the flavors were awesome.

Would I head back here?

This question – a dilemma. Why? Food was very good but it comes with a rather high price tag, pricier than usual. I suppose if you do not mind the $$$, then sure, it is worthy of a visit. I, on the other hand, need to safe all the $$$ I can, considering the fact that I am almost always ‘pokai’ at the end of the month, I most probably would not be back here anytime soon, although I’d wish otherwise.
