We had a last minute meeting added into our schedule today and as is the case with last minute stuff, we had to scramble to look for a good spot to meet. Perhaps somewhere rather quiet with a good ambiance and hopefully – awesome food. We as drove around TTDI, we finally decided on Encore. Based on how it looked on the outside, it seemed good enough for a not-too-formal meeting. So yea, we ended up visiting this new, two week old cafe today and I must say – we all had a pleasant experience here.
First thing I noticed was their dessert selection. It all looked soo tempting, sooo decadent. I did not give it a go, of course for I Must Resist Temptation. I’m getting bigger by the day, not okay at all. Grrrr.
Anyways, moving on …. Encore was inviting and cozy. We ended up sitting at the corner near the entrance, the one where they had a sofa arrangement. It was perfect for the meeting. Customer service was good, we basically had to look through the Menu, decided on what we would like to have and then head over to the counter to order and pay. Food arrived pretty fast, within 10 minutes.
Tempura Soft Shell Crab Burger, 25 ringgit
The burger was gooood, yawww. I loved it. The soft shell crab was da bomb. What I liked about it was the fact that every mouth I took, the taste of the crab was prevalent. At some eateries, while the taste of the crab is evident, it is not strong, it sort of blends in with everything else but that was not the case here. Here, it was the first and last thing you’d taste. I also liked the fact that they added some sweetish chilli sauce onto it, it kindda gave it a rather unusual but very pleasant taste. Yummm! I would order this dish again.
Grilled Basil Pesto Chicken Sandwich, 20 ringgit
Another yummy dish. As you’d be able to see from the image, they sure do provide you with a generous portion of chicken – yay! and they stuffed that sandwich with quite a bit of pesto sauce that every big mouth you’d take – the taste of pesto was evident. Yummmm. In the midst of getting through the sandwich, it got a tad dry – with the big slice of chicken meat, and lightyly toasted bread, the only ‘wet’ ingredient in the sandwich would be the pesto sauce, mustard and tomato bits perhaps? Yea, but nothing a little chilli sauce cant solve. Added on a tiny bit and that simply provided an extra ‘kick’.
Would I head back here?
Yes, I certainly would. Looking forward to giving their other dishes a try and of course, getting my hands on some of those delicious desserts.
