RINSE @ Bandar Sri Damansara – Revisited .. still as good. Burp !! (Pork Free)

Yup, as the heading suggest, I revisited Rinse and the experience this time was just as good as the first. This time, it was not planned, more of an impromptu thingy. I don’t know if you guys have heard of the House of Ingredients but it is the place I usually head to whenever I need my baking supplies restocked. While shopping, I get a notification that my friends are ‘lepaking’ at RINSE and since it is barely 10 minutes away, I simply had to drop by for some catching up. It has been ages since I last saw them.

*** In terms of how RINSE looks like and what they offer – The Menu and etc, do visit our previous postinghttps://thefoodbunny.com/2018/12/24/rinse-bandar-sri-damansara-niceee/. This time around, my phone battery died on me halfway through. Could not take much pictures.

Pumpkin Soup

Lets talk about consistency, shall we? I had the same starter previously and it sure does taste as good, perhaps even better. It held that distinct flavor that only comes with roasted pumpkin. It was flavorful, thick, just a tad sweetish – which was great. I’ve got no complains. Lovely.

Golden Fragrance Chicken Rice Bowl, 16 ringgit

I love prawn paste, I really do. It has a rather strong, peculiar taste that some may like and some may not. I love it, the more the merrier and so, is it any wonder why I opted for the Golden Fragrance Chicken Rice Bowl? As soon as I read the word (Kam Heong) under it, I had to give it a go. It was delicious. They provided a generous amount of boneless chicken meat coated in Kam Heong sauce. The taste of dried shrimp was evident, the gravy was quite thick and flavorful. The dish also came with a side of Garlic Buttered Rice + Egg + Broccoli. I cant comment on the rice though, whether it was garlicky or buttery. As soon as it arrived, I started mixing all the ingredients together which would most probably drain the individuality of the items? I enjoyed this dish, it sure did fill me up and hey, I was a happy kid – I got my dose of Kam Heong for the week, didnt I?

Waffles : Kathy

Did I get the name right? I was too busy indulging that I forgot to take notes. All I remember the lady at the counter saying was that their Earl Grey ice cream waffle – Heather, is a crowd favorite and if that doesn’t tickle my fancy, then Kathy would do it as it comes with coconut ice cream. As soon as I heard C O C O N U T, I knew I had to give it a go. The ice cream was yummy! It was packed with coconut flavor, literally every scoop you take – the taste of coconut is evident, yessss!! The waffle at the bottom, ooo it was buttery, light and airy, fluffy …. yummmm! Then, there were pieces of strawberry dipped in caramel sauce and my favorite – the bananas, not only were they also dipped in caramel sauce, there was a thin layer of crystallized caramel on top of it, the kind where you tap onto it and it cracks? Yup, that kind. This dessert came with a side of honey? and this was sort of the final piece of the puzzle, the one that connects it all together. All the items were well gelled, I gobbled it all up happily.

Would I head back here?

Yessssss, I totally would. My experience here has been awesome – again. They were consistent, food arrived fast, it tasted good and priced pretty affordably. If I am in the area – I will definitely drop by again.
