Baked Cheese Rice New 2019 Noodles Superior Pork Noodle Soup

The Rice @ Sri Petaling – Ooooo yum!! Baked cheese rice :)

In between ‘catching up’ sessions with my dear friends from the International Medical University (IMU), we used the free time to check out what’s new and latest along Jalan Radin Bagus.

We managed to snag a parking directly in front of Tealive – which I then took as a sign to indulge in some of those pearly filled flavored drink. Yes, I tend to use any reason under the sun to indulge, lol. After the purchase, we walked around for a bit, going door to door to see what is being offer and that is when we stumbled on The Rice. This eatery is NEW, just over a week old but judging from the crowd, it is quickly becoming a crowd favorite.

Baked Cheese Chicken Rice, 14.99 ringgit

Ooooo man, look at the cheese.. that soft, gooey, sticky cheese. I’m pretty sure it was Mozzarella. Delicious. As soon as I saw that they offer baked cheese rice – I knew I had to go for it. The dish comes with 3 options for sauces – Tomato sauce, Mushroom sauce and Portugal sauce. I opted for Portugal and to me, it was the right choice. While the other options, basically its name speaks for itself, Portugal was sort of a mystery. Upon inquiring though, I was told that this particular sauce is curry-ish, thick gravy. This dish was da bomb! It was cheesy, buttery, flavorful with plenty of cheese on the top, with chicken and rice. I loved every bit of it. I also liked that at the bottom of the bowl, there is the burned rice. I was happily scrapping it all up. There is a certain appeal to it – the crispy, slightly charred texture, when mixed with the other items – da bomb, yaww.

Superior Pork Noodle Soup, 16.99 ringgit

This was another delicious dish. Initially, I was a tad reluctant to give this dish a go because I wasnt in the mood for something soupy but there had to be a reason why this particular dish is a crowd favorite, right? If you are really hungry and you have plenty of space to fill up in that stomach of yours, then – do give the Signature Pork Noodle Soup a go. There are plenty of yummy ingredients that makes up this bowl of tasty goodies. 4 large pork meatballs – 2 normal and 2 charcoal ones, yummmmm! Besides that, there is tauhu, tofu skin and a generous portion of noodles. I’d definitely give this dish a go again. Not only does it come with a combination of good item in generous portions, the variety of flavors and textures were awesome too.

Would I head back here?

Yessss, I’d love to.
