I had some free time on my hands today and how did I decide to spend it?? By following my friend to get her eyelashes done at Bubble Gum Lash of course. I was always intrigued when it came eyelash extensions. While I see lotsa ladies walking around with them fake eyelashes, I almost never get to see the transformation – before and after. Being able to see it now though was exciting. Of course, after about 10 minutes in – I got bored.
On my way in, I saw Jo’s, a dessert shop right next door. Since my sweet tooth is activated at any time of the day, naturally I looked forward to sinking my teeth in some of them delicious goodies.

If you guys are adventurous enough to try uncommon combinations of cakes … then, do give Jo’s a go. As you can see from the available options, they do offer some rather intriguing variety. French Rose? Mango Granola? Lime Avocado? This bakery is also a good place if you are in need of some quiet time. I was perfectly content on my own while enjoying these decadent dessert and scrolling through my phone.
Lime Avocado, 15 ringgit + Dark Chocolate Brownie, 7 ringgit

Lime Avocado?? I was initially reluctant to give this cake a go simply because it is LIME and Avocado – uggghh, the combination was not really my cup of tea but apparently this was a crowd favorite here. I was skeptical but yea, I decided to give it a go.
First mouth in, the taste was pleasantly peculiar. Peculiar because unusual. I was worried that the Lime will overpower but it was surprising delicate. It lingers but doesn’t take over. Get what I mean? The avocado, there were solid bits and pieces scattered all over the inner part of the cake. It added some crunchyness to an otherwise soft, moist texture. The stark contrast was a welcoming sight which only added to this desserts overall appeal. I can see why this particular cake is a popular choice. I’d give it a go anytime. It was yummy!
I loveeeee anything chocolate and so, is it any wonder why I ordered the Dark Chocolate Brownie? The top layer was thin and crisp while the bottom part was gooey and dark ‘chocolatty’. The bitterness from the chocolate was there but not overwhelming. I liked it. The texture and taste was yummy.
Would I head back here?
Yessss, I would. What I’ve tasted so far was gooooood. I look forward to try the other offerings.
