** We visited this eatery some time ago and only managed to write about it now because one of us misplaced the pictures and it miraculously made appearance only recently. So, do excuse us if we get some details wrong – the exact items on the plate and etc.
Based on what I can recall, we had a meeting that went on longer than anticipated, leading to us having lunch late for the day. It was around 2.45 pm and since we were already at The Sphere, might as well give some of those new eateries a go. After walking around for a bit and weighing our options, we decided on Parklife.
I remember rather clearly that we walked through the doors at 2.56 pm and I guess with hunger outweighing all the other senses, we somehow missed the fact that here, lunch is served till 3 pm. After 3 pm onwards is tea time.
However, these guys were nice and accommodating. For real. They were willing to serve us lunch despite being a lil too late. Hallelujah!! Thank you sooooo much 🙂
So, for lunch, we opted for the Set Lunch. To those of you who are regulars at Ben’s Grocer – you’d find similarities in the concept here. There are a bunch of delicious vegetables on display, once you’ve decided on your picks, inform waiter of you choices and it will be served to you. As you can see from the Menu, there are 2 options available – Balance Set : a set with 2 vegetables + meat + soup & bread OR Clean & Lean Set : a set of 3 vegetables + soup & bread.
….. and these are their dessert/ tea time offerings, in case you guys are curious. It sure is quite a selection. Very tempting indeed.
Balance Set, 28 ringgit
If vegetables were served to me like this everyday, you can bet a million bucks I’d turn vegetarian. For reals, yawwww.
So, the first thing to arrive was the soup of the day, Broccoli soup with bread. It was surprisingly nice. The soup was light and the taste of broccoli was evident. A perfect dish for a starter. Somewhere in the midst of slurping the soup, our main dishes arrived.
As you can see from the images above, the first Balance Set of our choice was a combination of Broccoli and Couliflower with fish and the second Balance Set was a combination of Butternut Squash and Brinjal with Chicken. Everything tasted nice. The vegetables were on point in terms of flavoring and I loved the fact that it came accompanied with raisins and yogurt, perhaps some hummus as well? The grilled fish I liked very much – crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken was lovely too.
Would I head back here?
Yup. I’d certainly be back here. Food was really good, the atmosphere was pleasant and the people were friendly and helpful. Oooo and it helps that the delicious food here happens to be healthy stuff, that definitely is a big plus.
