** This will be a quick write up. Heading into an event now.

I passed this eatery last month while we were on our way to My Little Herbal Tea – My Little Herbal Tea @ Taman Megah, PJ – Roasted Pork Curry Mee da’ bomb. At a glance, it was doing rather well for lunch, crowded and so, I kindda told myself that the next time I was in the area, might as well give it a try.

Today, we ended up having lunch at 3 pm. Lots of work to do, datelines to be met and so on. Since we were heading this way for a meeting later in the day at Paradigm Mall, we figured this would be a good time to pay 134 Mixed Rice a visit. We were pretty sure that visiting at this hour would certainly mean a reduced crowd but what about the food spread? Would there still be much options to choose from?

Well, yes there were. While there were a few empty trays here and there, most of it were still filled with food. Yesssss 🙂

There was a wide spread of food, with more than 80 varieties. You’d literally be spoiled for choice. Me like.

2 plates of rice with sides, 23.70 ringgit

I know that 23 ringgit may be costly for some but bare in mind that each plate had enough to feed 2 people. There were 4 of us and 2 of us were going to share a plate. We took quite a bit. Basically it was about 12 ringgit per head. That being said, I’ve taken the same portion size elsewhere and have paid a cheaper price for it. So, it depends on the individual – whether or not a few ringgit makes a difference.

Food was good. The first plate had green sprouts + taugeh + sweet & sour pork, with no rice. The second plate had rice with steamed fish + tauhu + green. Chinese Tea and soup is free flow. By the time we were done, our plates were empty – that ought to tell you how much we enjoyed the food here. Sometimes you just want to skip the fancy food and indulge in some simple, ol’ school, no frills goodness like Chap Fan/ Chinese Mixed Rice … 134 Mixed Rice is worth a consideration if you are in the area.
