Baroness @ Sri Petaling – Duck Pasta da’ bomb!

Soooo, a little birdie told me that the duck pasta here is to die for. Well, several birdies actually. I am not really a fan of duck meat. Unless the dish is cooked well, you wouldn’t see me intentionally going around looking for this particular meat. However, since I was told several times how ‘sedap’ it was here at Baroness, I decided to pay them a visit and have a taste myself.

They are open for dine in.

The Salted Egg Croissant here is apparently really good. If you guys read other reviews on Baroness, the croissant is a regular mention. It is homemade by their baker. So, if you are a lover of this particular croissant, do give it a go. I did not as I was fully focused on the duck pasta.

Lunch Set : Ducko Olio, 15 ringgit + Lunch Set : Rendang Bok Bok Rice Bowl, 17 ringgit + Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea, 7 ringgit.

I opted to go for the lunch set simply because I get more by paying less. A main meal + soup + drink is a good deal.

The Ducko Olio was real good. The duck flavor was strong, delicious. Even without the duck meat, just by having the pasta on its own, the flavor was evident. Warm, gooey, oily it was. The meat, I loved the fact that the pieces provided were large and thick. It allowed for better savoring … tender and juicy. Very good.

The Rendang Bok Bok Rice Bowl was pretty good too. There was rice with a generous portion of chicken rendang, egg and cucumber. The rendang taste was evident. However, it was a tad too mild for me, I would have liked it to be spicier. There was plenty of tender, boneless chicken meat, big pieces too. Overall, a tasty dish. With a little more sice added, it would be really good.

The drink the set lunch came with was Oolong Tea with a choice of upgrading to a Long Black, Latte or Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea. So, I opted for an Oolong Tea and upgraded the other drink to the bubble tea. The Brown Sugar bubble tea was good. I liked that it wasn’t too watery. A little milky with plenty of soft, gooey pearls and brown sugar. Niceeee.

Overall, the food was good. I agree with the birdies. The duck pasta is delicious. Perhaps I will give their famed Salted Egg Croissant a try during my next visit.
