Pepo Pizza @ Seksyen 51a, Petaling Jaya – A Hidden Delight

If you guys are familiar with Petaling Jaya, you’d most probably know Jalan 222. Off this particular road is Jalan 51a/225, which basically consist of  warehouses? In the midst of that is where Pepo Pizza is located.

This particular lot is basically a large piece of land with several structures resembling warehouses on it. There is a large gym, next to it is a swimming school that is also open to public, several eateries and an event space. It is not all located within one building, nope. It is spread out all over this piece of land.

I don’t know what this is 😂 a Container cafe??

Parking: It would cost you 1 ringgit per entry.  Very cheap. I was there for almost 4 hours, only cost me 1 ringgit. Plenty of space for parking. No problem at all.

As mentioned previously, everything here is all spread out. Pepo is not really in a building but more so among a row of shops? It still is a work in progress as construction is still going on the left and right .. Pepo though is fully up and running.

Pepo Pizza is new, just a little over half a month old. It is small, warm and cosy.  I enjoyed myself, the ambiance was nice, the music was cool too. Best of all, food was delicious.

They have a wide offering here in terms of food – rice bowls, pizza, pasta and burgers. Between the two of us, we decided to give the pizza and burger a go this time. For pizza, their best selling/ crowd favorites were  Pepo Pizza and the Mushroom & Truffle, we opted for the first one.

It is a thin crusted, wood oven pizza. The outer part is slightly thicker, the inner part is thin. Overall, it is not hard and crispy. Yessss! Instead, it was surprisingly soft, which I liked. Pepo Pizza is tomato based and comes with lots of olive, mozzarella, zucchini and topped with homemade chicken meatballs. It was simple yet delicious. The pizza comes sliced into 8 pieces and between the two of us, we had 4 each which usually would be quite a feat for me but not this time, lol. I ‘hantam.’ 😋

The Crispy Chicken Burger was yummy. It consisted of buns + a piece of juicy, crispy and tender boneless chicken + a slice of chicken ham + sesame mayo + cheese, with a side of fries and salad. Both of us enjoyed this dish too. No complains, it was finger lickin’ good.

Overall, we had a great time here. The food was yummy and enjoyable. We decided that we’d be back here soon for more.
