Fish & Chips Open Daily Pesto Pesto Chicken Sandwich Pork Free Sandwich

The Foxhole @ SS 18, Subang Jaya – Me like 😍 (Pork Free)

I had a meeting in SS 18 and once that concluded, I took a slow drive around the area to see if there was anything that would catch my eye and The Foxhole sure did. Why? Firstly, due to its startling blue exterior and secondly, due to the que at the front. If that isn’t an indication of what could potentially be a good experience, then what is, right? This bakery cafe is located with a row of shops that also houses several other eateries but The Foxhole in particular seem to be a crowd favorite.

Parking was easy peasy. Good thing SS 18 isn’t anything like SS 15. Sure, there were lots of people but nowhere close to the anything like SS 15. Especially during lunch hour, my chances would have been very, very slim in acquiring a parking spot. Here however, I managed to find one within a minute. There are plenty of spots right outside the cafe. People come and go regularly and so, even if most of it are occupied, chances are that you’d come across an empty spot quickly.

This is certainly a cosy and vibrant cafe. I can totally see myself bringing my friends over for a good catching up session here. It obviously is well liked. The constant flow of people in and out of The Foxhole can attest that. If you are hoping for a quiet place, this may not be it as there is ongoing conversations, chatters and laughters .. it was enjoyable. Being surrounded by that is bound to put you in a good mood.

Menu

Hearty Pesto Chicken Sandwich, RM 23.90 + Fish & Chips, RM 25.90

As you guys can see, all of us had to eat our meals on a plastic plate and this was due to the sudden water cut in Selangor. To me, it did not affect the overall dining experience though, I ate with ease. The Pesto Chicken Sandwich was tasty. I liked the fact that for bread, they used Panini. There is something about its softness that works well with pesto. Both the top and bottom piece of bread had a nice spread of basil pesto, yay! With this dish, you’d get a piece of grilled chicken, cheese, red roasted bell pepper with a side of french fries. It was a tasty dish, I enjoyed it.

The Fish and Chips were nice too. I only wished the fish part was a tad bigger, lol. It was comparatively smaller than what I am used to perhaps because it is thin?.. but I guess the fact that it comes in two pieces makes up for it. It was crispy on the outside and warm, moist inside. With a little lemon drizzle and mayo on the top, it was yummy. The dish comes with a side of sweet potato fries and salad.

I had an awesome time here. I’d love to return to The Foxhole and perhaps this time, give their cakes a try.
