This was an accidental find. I’ve always liked hanging out at Happy Mansion. There are an array of food options available if you include all three blocks. I usually drop by regularly for lunch pre-Covid days and every now and then, there would be a new addition. With Covid though, I spend more time home than anywhere else and so, it is safe to say that it has been months since I last dropped by.
Since I was in the area, I decided to do a driveby around the blocks, just to see if there was anything new. As I was rounding Block C, I found The Owls Cafe. If I am not mistaken, these guys took over a spot which was previously occupied by a rather popular Thai restaurant – MyElephant.
If you did not already know, The Owls Cafe is a popular cafe in Bukit Jalil, known for their waffles among other thing. I’ve always been a fan and was giddy with happiness when I saw them here in PJ.

Chicken Pesto Pasta, RM 18 + Rebecca, RM 19
I of course could not resist ordering myself a waffle and upon weighing my choices, I went with Rebecca. I love that the waffle itself was soft, light and fluffy, it does not make you feel stuffed at the end of it. It was topped with bananas, almond and coconut flakes, blueberries, strawberries with a scoop of ice cream. I dont know what flavor ice cream it was but it had a yogurt-ty taste to it, which complemented the waffle and the dish overall. I enjoyed this dish.
This was another yummy dish. It was pesto pasta with chicken, cherry tomatoes, pine nuts, parmesan cheese. The dish was neither wet or dry, just good enough to create a nice mix. The taste of pesto was evident and all the other ingredients fit in perfectly. An awesome dish.
