Chicken Rice Dry Curry Chicken Noodle New 2020 Nyonya Kuih Open Daily Pork Free Steamed Chicken

Inside Ipoh @ Damansara Uptown, PJ – Nice πŸ‘Œ (Pork Free)

I was driving around the area looking for a spot to have lunch when I came across Inside Ipoh. There sure is plenty of Ipoh related food in Uptown, don’t you think? Ipoh Cravings Cafe … Ipoh Tuck Kee …. and now, Inside Ipoh. As the crowd was just picking up at that point, my friend and I decided to have lunch here. Plenty of space and time to eat and enjoy the quiet before the work folks start filling in.

Parking: Well, getting a spot in front the restaurant wasn’t going to be easy, especially on a weekday and that too during lunch hour. So, I ended up parking in one of the office blocks opposite Inside Ipoh, at an hourly rate of 3,4 ringgit. Yes, it may be an office block but certain levels of the basement carpark are also open to public.

**Sorry for the limited photos if the interior. Accidentally deleted some.

Menu

Curry Chicken Dry Curry Noodle, RM 9.90 + Lunch Set: Steam Chicken Rice, RM 8.90 + Beansprouts, RM 5

By the time we sat and ordered, I was very hungry. At that point, many things on the Menu looked enticing and tempting but I wasn’t going to risk it. If I ordered the wrong dish and it ended up being mediocre at best, it would simply make me hangry (hungry + angry). To prevent that, we asked for recommendations instead and ended up ordering Chicken Rice and Dry Curry Noodles.

The Dry Curry Noodle was good. It may be a simple dish but a tasty one it was. The star here would be the thick, flavorful curry as without it, this would have been a ‘bleh’ dish. In my opinion, the choice of noodles too played a vital role. I requested for a mix between mee and mee hoon, it went well with the dry curry. With the dish, I received two chunky, meaty chicken pieces on the side. This dish I liked. A simple yet tasty dish.

The Chicken Rice was good too. I especially liked the steamed chicken, both of us did. I’ve taste steamed chicken that are overdone, the kind that is dry, and rubber-ish. Happy to say that the ones here are soft, moist and tasted nice. Overall, a satisfying dish indeed.

I wouldn’t mind heading back here and this time, perhaps give their Hor Fun a try. I’ve seen it mentioned several times that the Hor Fun here is authentic and delicious, worth a try, ey?
