This is a new cafe, about 3 months old. My friend told me about Baby Burger. She lived in the area and saw this new cafe, gave it a go and said the burgers were pretty good. I decided to wait till MCO ended so I can dine in. Being able to enjoy the ambiance and environment besides eating the burger makes the experience wholesome, right?
To me, this could pass of as a hidden cafe. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. There is a row of shops, surrounded by houses. Waze will lead you right to it except that it stops at the front side of this row of shops and nope, you wont see Baby Burger here. Yes, it is the same row where this cafe is located at but it is NOT AT THE FRONT. You need to go around the corner, head toward the back of this row of shops and you would see this cafe. Unless you head to the back, you’d be oblivious towards the existence of this cafe regardless of wether you are familiar with the area or not. I’d consider this a hidden cafe, for sure.

It sure is colorful, colors all around. Do not even try to make sense of the swirls and coffee beans and elephant mural because even I couldn’t. In a weird, quirky sense, it all somehow blends in and exist amicably.
At noon, Baby Burger is a cafe. By night, it’s a speakeasy. So, I guess it is a cafe bar kindda establishment. It is rather ol’ school, that is the feel I get. Certainly a pretty cool place to chill. Understated and hidden, my kindda thing ππ
Their opening hours was a tad confusing. Google says it opens at 12.30 pm, their Facebook page says 1 pm and their food delivery website says pickup is available as early as 12 pm. I arrived at 12.45 pm, just to be safe and it was open. I double checked with them and was told that they are open from 11 am onwards. I wonder why the different timing displays across various websites though? Slightly confusing.
Menu

Cheesy Billy, RM 18.90 + Classic Chicken Burger, RM 15.90

All burger patties here are homemade, it is big in size and has a dense texture that is slightly crumbly.
The Classic Chicken Burger included a homemade chicken patty with burger bun, caramelized onions, tomatoes, cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce here had a rather unique ginger-ish taste. It was not overwhelming or overpowering, just the right amount to make a difference. I liked it. There were plenty of caramelized onions, another thing I liked.
The Cheesy Billy was a lamb burger. Sometimes with lamb patties – it can taste a little overwhelming as the taste tends to linger on your tongue? Here, the taste of lamb was evident but not strong, it made eating enjoyable. There was plenty of cheese here the herb cream cheese sauce and mozzarella, it was a perfect addition to the burger and with a generous portion of caramelized onions – this ended up being a yummy burger.
