Plan B @ TRX – Awesome πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

I’ve been blissfully unaware of this particular Plan Bs’ existence until a recent work meet. The bunch of us are avid foodies, so once the meeting concluded, we began exchanging details about our recent visits. One of the eateries mentioned was Plan B and it sounded interesting enough, so I decided to pay it a visit.

This eatery is located in Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), downtown KL. Plan B is not in a building but stands alone. To make it easier for you guys, this eatery is located directly opposite Kechara Soup Kitchen.

Parking: It was easy and free provided you do not miss a turn. As you pass the traffic light, you’d see an open carpark on you left with a Honda car showroom (I may be wrong about the brand), turn in into that (if you miss this turn and end up taking the next left into TRX Gallery and Prudential Tower, you’d have no choice but to drive a whole big round around to get back here. Everything is connected, walking is super easy but for some reason, the parking aren’t connected. So, do not miss the turn). As you enter the open carpark, Plan B is right next door. So, it is up to you. You can park here, at a cost or you could take the next right, go around Plan B (Plan B will be on your right), drive straight for a minute, till you see Plan B parking on you right and enter. This parking is specially for customers, its free.

Plan B looked rather nice. It had a ‘glasshouse effect’you’d be able to look in and out from all angles. There was a nice flow of natural light which lit up the space during the day. It is well air conditioned, so you don’t have to worry about heating up and sweating, you’d face no such issues here. It sure did make for a nice photo taking setting.

Customer service was great. As soon as my friend and I entered, we were greeted and seated. With some assistance from our waiter, our orders were taken in no time. Food arrived within 10 minutes.

Menu

Kam Heong Sifu, RM 32 + Nasi Le Mak Cik, RM 28

Kam Heong Sifu
Nasi Le Mak Cik

Woa, food was really good. I was impressed. Boths of us ordered their best sellers. I went with the Kam Heong Sifu – best decision everrrr. If you are a fan of Kam Heong like me, you’d loveeee this dish. They sure do give you lots of it. A pasta dish packed with Kam Heong – shrimp paste, a little spicy and a little sweet. With prawns, squids and plenty of Kam Heong paste scattered all over, this was a perfect dish to indulge in after a stressfull day at work. Burp!

The Nasi Lemak was great too. This is literally the first nasi lemak that came with some pumpkin on the side, a long piece of pumpkin with some gravy. I liked it. The dish also came with a fried chicken thigh – ‘Ayam Goreng Berempah’ style. Many times, the menu says its ‘berempah’ but you can hardly taste it in actuality, right? No such problem here. I tried the chicken and I could tell immediately it was ‘berempah’, it was packed with it. Nicely done and a delight to eat with the Nasi Lemak. I enjoyed all the items on the plate except for the ‘keropok’, it was ‘pahit’, not my thing. Besides that, the dish as a whole was delicious.

I had an awesome time here, I look forward to heading back to Plan B.
