Blue Nasi Lemak Ayam Berempah New 2021 Open Daily Pasta Pork Free Salted Egg Creamy Linguine

Malaya Garden @ Petaling Street – Yummy (Pork Free)

Today, we ‘bungkus’ lunch from Malaya Garden, a 2 month old restaurant in Petaling Street. This eatery is located within the same row as Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock and Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam, opposite Four Points by Sheraton.

Unfortunately, this was the only picture we managed to take of the restaurant πŸ˜„. From all the photos I saw online, the interior here sure is ‘Instagrammable’, both the ground and top floor they occupy. During MCO though, all interactions are limited to the front end of the restaurant on the ground floor. The top floor was closed and I got the impression that they were very serious about social distancing – rightfully so, because once we placed our order, we were told that food will be delivered to the car. Its as clear as it gets that they prefer us not to linger around πŸ˜‰. So, I snapped a photo of the restaurant front and headed off to my car to wait for my food.

** All their pastas cost RM 15 only.

I ordered a pasta and a nasi lemak which cost me only RM 24 🀩🀩 At these sort of establishments, RM 24 is what I expect to pay for one dish, not two. So, this was definitely a good deal, good value for money.

Salted Egg Cream Linguine, RM 15 + Nasi Lemak Ayam Rempah, RM 9

If you like salted egg, then this dish is for you. Every mouth you take, you’d be able to taste it. Yummmm 😍 The pasta was served with 5,6 pieces of boneless chicken.

This dish was good too. It had all the usual ingredients that made up a nasi lemak, with Ayam Rempah on the side. The chicken sure was ‘berempah’ from the taste of it but why did you give me drumstick laaaaaa when I specifically requested for thigh? Why? Why you do me like this? 😫😫 Its okaylah… I sulked for just 5 seconds and then ‘hantam’ jerrπŸ˜„. Burp!

Overall, a smooth experience. I called them to place my order, I arrived 10 minutes later, waited for about another 5 minutes and got my lunch. It was a smooth process. Once dining in is allowed again, I’d be back. Food was tasty and from the looks of it, its an instagrammable restaurant. I am looking forward to dining in and enjoying the ambiance, the artsy interior – something I could not do this time. On top of that, it seems like half of their Menu is not available during the MCO.. items like their Curry Laksa as well as their burgers are off the menu at the moment. So yea, I will be back.
