Lunch for the day was from Mollagaa. The restaurant is located within the Indian street in Leboh Ampang, located about a minute away from the Masjid Jamek train station and 8 – 10 minutes away from Petaling Street and Chinatown. I’ve always wanted to give Mollagaa a try because it is rated highly but on normal days, getting a parking spot here is sooooo difficult and on top of that, if it is your unlucky day – you’d ‘kena saman’. During MCO though, its a little less congested and parking by the roadside to collect food is understandable and more acceptable.

Orders are taken at the entrance. Customers are not allowed to enter the premises. So, I basically went there, place my order, was told to wait 20 minutes, went back to my car and 20 minutes later – went back to the restaurant to pay and collect. Despite no dining in allowed, Mollagaa seem to be doing well. The food delivery guys were stopping by non stop, deliveries after deliveries were leaving the restaurant.

MCO Special Combo 2, RM 39.95 + packaging, RM 3

** They have very recently made some changes to the combos. So, what I paid and received for Combo 2 may defer from the current Combo 2.
Since its just the 2 of us this time, we went with Combo 2, meant for 2 pax. There was 2 types of rasam – normal and crab rasam. Vege of the day was potato parathal? It tasted nice, potato cubes with spices. We got 2 options for rice – white rice and briyani. The briyani rice came with one chicken drumstick and an egg. The Madras Fish Curry was delicious – tasty and flavorful, it came with one large piece of fish.

Besides that, there was Tandoori chicken, which included 4 to 5 pieces of juicy, tender pieces of flavorful chicken. The combo also came with a drink – Ice Lemon Tea and a serving of thairu/yogurt, raita, mint chutney and 2 servings of kesari for dessert.
Overall, food was delicious. Definitely would not mind paying Mollagaa another visit.
*** Just in case, for some reason the food ordering website (Eatmol) says its closed, do call them to double check. Sometimes the website says one thing, in reality its another. Last I checked – they are open daily.
