It has been a while since I’ve last visited Cata. This eatery to me has always been about tapas and tapas are best eaten immediately after served – to me, at least. Hence why Cata did not even cross my mind during the entire duration of MCO so far. So, imagine my surprise when I came across their MCO menu recently and saw some new additions. They now serve bagels, bagel sandwiches, pasta and etc. Ooooooo, me like 😍. Okaylah, lunch for the day is set 👌👌.

Multigrain Bagel Chicken Schnitzel, RM 18 + Grilled Vegetable Pasta, RM 22
This bagel sandwich was delicious. I fell in love with just the bagel alone. The Multigrain bagel was da bomb. I am seriously contemplating heading back to Cata soon to get myself one of those ‘Set of 5’. With crunchy bits on the the top, the inner part was dense and soft. If I am not mistaken, they did sprinkle on a dash of olive oil … ooo yum. The contrasting textures was something I looked forward too. The chicken schnitzel was perfect addition and together with some tomato, cucumber, rocket leaves – it made this a delicious bagel sandwich 👌👌
Considering I am stuck at home and having to eat meat everyday, literally for lunch, dinner and sometimes breakfast .. ‘I dah muak’ for now. Hence why I opted for a vegetarian dish this time. There was a slight error on my part when I ordered this dish. What I wanted was the Grilled Vegetable Pesto Pasta because I loveeeeee pesto but for some reason during ordering, I left out Pesto 😵😵 and so, what I got was Grilled Vegetable Pasta with no pesto 😥. However, the absence of pesto was quickly forgotten because this dish was delicious. It was simple, basically pasta + olive oil with grilled vegetables (cucumber, eggplant, tomatoes) but it was simplicity at its best. I liked it and would order it again.
All in all, good food. I’d be heading back there soon to get me some of those bagels 😍
