I ended up in Taman Desa this time for lunch. It was one of those days whereby I did not know where specifically to head to for lunch and so, I picked an area instead and decide on an eatery once I am there. After some driving around, I ended up in Danau Business Centre. A quick look on Google suggested that I should pay Kuchabe a visit as it was rated rather highly – an average rating of 4.1/5 from almost 200 peeps.

Kuchabe is a 2 year old vegetarian restaurant. If you skim through their menu, you would notice soon enough that everything looks good, you’d be spoilt for choice. One thing I liked about Kuchabe is what you see is what you get. A lot of times, the images in the menu does not reflect the food you end up receiving. No worries about that here though – the food you receive is reflective of how it was depicted in the menu. The staffs here are friendly and approachable. Food was ready in lightning speed. For real. It felt like I just placed my order 5 minutes before and next thing you know, it has arrived at your table, ready to be eaten. I was amazed.
The only problem you might have is with parking. There are plenty of parking spots but depending on the time of your visit, you may have to go around the block a couple of times before being lucky enough to get one.
Menu

Kampung Fried Rice, RM 12 + Beancurd Skin, RM 8.90 + Nyonya Curry Ramen, RM 15

Ooo man, this was delicious. The curry had a rather unusual taste to it, not the usual I’d come by but it was perfect for this dish. I love that the texture of the curry was not watery or liquid-dy, it was pretty thick, perfect for a flavorful slurping. The noodles were thick ramen which resemble eating yellow mee. The dish came with plenty of eggplant, long beans, tauhu, taugeh and beancurd.

This was a perfect starter. The bean curd was good enough to eat on its own, tasted really good. The mid part was soft and chewy, the edges all around were crispy. The dish comes with a side of sweet chili sauce.

This was my first time eating a vegetarian version of Kampung Fried Rice and I liked it. I didnt even think about the missing anchovies and chicken. It was simple yet delicious. The rice color was green-ish brown … perhaps some pesto paste was used? π€π€ either way, the rice tasted almost similar to a non veg version. Yum! You’d also get a large portion of spinach and a few pieces of cucumber.
I had a great time here. I’d be back for more in no time, that’s for sure.
