This was an unplanned visit. I was in the area, decided to do a drive by to check out if there was anything new in the area …. and came across iCrust.

As you can see, they have pastries and bread here. During my arrival, they were in the midst of baking, so there weren’t an array of options but whatever available were mostly fresh off the oven – which I loveeeeee. They had croissants, bagels, sourdough buns, coffee buns, loafs of bread. I was told that sometime this month, they would also be adding on main meals like pasta and sandwiches into their menu.

Coffee Bun, RM 5

At first glance, I thought this would be similar to a Roti Boy. They share the same look, sure but that is it. This one here is a coffee bun. As soon as you take your first bite, you are guaranteed to taste. Do expect a nice mix between sweet and slight bitterness. When I took my first bite, I did not quite fancy it as I tasted the bitter end but it grows on you. The more bites you take, the more appealing and tasty it becomes. Towards the end, I liked it to a point whereby I wished I bought an extra piece. The sourdough is soft and dense, the perfect texture for this bun.
Orange Poppy Seed Bagel, RM 8

Ooo, this was another favorite of mine. The bagel was soft and dense. There were poppy seeds scattered on the top with a few strips of orange. The orange tasted like marmalade jam, sweet and gooey. Delicious it was.
Truffle & Almond Sourdough, RM 10

This sourdough bun caught my attention. Truffle and Almond is not a combination I come by often, especially on a sourdough. Upon tasting it, it tasted similar to a garlic bread? Weird but that was how it came across to me. I liked it, unusual yet tasty.
