Woodfire KL @ TTDI – Huge, yummy burgers (Halal)

Woodfire has been taking social media by storm of late. Be it Instagram, Tiktok and/or Facebook … lots of people are talking about this eatery and the tasty burgers they offer. The repeated visuals got us curious enough that we decided to head there during the weekend.

Woodfire KL is located in Plaza TTDI. It is basically the same buiding that houses the grocery store – Hero Market. Both the grocer and the burger shop is just a short distance away from one another.

During lunch hour, they were fullhouse. There was only one person manning the counter. So, if someone comes to collect a pickup order or if someone who has already ordered, decided to come back to the counter to ask some question – the rest of the line has to wait and things get delayed. During peak hours, delays and long lines are inevitable. Just keep your cool. Once you get over that stage, it’s pretty smooth sailing from then on.

BBQ Chicken Burger, RM 18.90

Okay, the burgers here are H U G E. Huge to a point that even if you stretch your mouth to the most maximum, you still wouldn’t be able to take a whole bite. So… to the ladies, if you intend to have a burger here, you best skip the lipstick because it’s bound to get messy.

The burger was delicious. It starts off with a layer of slightly sweet burger bun + mustard sauce + fried onions + a bulleye egg + a layer of chili and cheezy sauce + BBQ flavored thick, tender, juicy boneless chicken for a patty + greens + melted cheese + bun. The combination was a burst of flavors. The sweetness from the buns really complimented the BBQ flavor. It was a delicious mix of yumminess.

Would I head back here? Yea, why not. I liked it, my friend – not so much. It is a matter of preference. If you are expecting something fancy, Woodfire is not the place for it. You’d be better off at a cafe. To me, eating this burger gives me similar feelings to when I eat Burger Ramly by the roadside … the local, ol’ school flavors done the Malaysian way.
