We were in the mood for some desserts this time and decided to give Buttery a try. This new dessert cafe is located on the quieter side of Lorong Rahim Kajai 13 in TTDI.

Prior to Buttery , this was an office. So, this is a relatively well spaced out place. The leftover features from the office was nicely used and worked with. I’d consider it slightly different from the usual cafe settings out there. There is a nice blend between antique-ky and modern.
It’s a rather quiet cafe. A perfect place for you to focus and get your work done, perhaps even have a work meet, a friendly get-together.
At Buttery, you can expect desserts and drinks. If you are a lover of scones, they offer several choices here, both sweet and savoury. For sweet, there are plain scones, raisin scones and white chocolate berry scones. For savoury, it’s cheese and chive scones. For cakes, there was Salted Caramel Chocolate cake, Pandan Gula Melaka cake, Sticky Date Pudding cake, Brown Butter cake, Burnt Cheesecake and a few more choices.
White Chocolate Berries Scone, RM 6

This was unique and yummy. You’d get a contrast of flavors here with the sweetness from the white chocolate, slight sourness from the berries and the scone itself was buttery. Overall, certainly an appealing contrast of flavors. We enjoyed it.
Salted Caramel Chocolate cake, RM 17
This was a large slice of cake. We ordered this because we liked the combination of salted caramel and chocolate, so this was a no brainer. They were nice enough to provide us with an extra serving of salted caramel sauce, we ended up getting a little crazy with it, lol. The cake was given a nice, generous drizzle. However, I would advise against pouring too much sauce onto the cake. Mostly because the cake will end up tasting a little salty. The chocolate cake wasn’t too sweet, the icing part had a touch of saltiness to it which complimented the chocolate cake overall and so did the salted caramel sauce. When you end up going crazy with the sauce like we did, it got a little too salty. We ended up removing some of it. The fault was ours π. The cake was chocolatty and decadent. Not too sweet and perfectly dense. We enjoyed it.
