Ice Kacang Nasi Ikan Cencaru Cili Nasi Lemak Nasi Lemak Ayam Rendang New 2021 New 2021 : Nov Nyonya Nyonya cuisine Pork Free

Nyonya Pakay Bunga @ OUG – Taste like home cooked food 😊

There are several things that attracted me about Nyonya Pakay Bunga. Firstly, when you drive past a restaurant with an eye catching blue exterior, it is hard to simply ignore it. Second, they serve nyonya cuisine. Third, the fact that they name a restaurant after a popular Nyonya song gives me the old school feels here.

Inside, the restaurant was decorated vibrantly. All sorts of decor every side you turn. A burst of colors, really. They were playing jovial classic Nyonya songs during our visit, songs I’ve never heard of before. It felt homely sitting in there, warm and cosy.

Menu

*** Besides the usual dishes, they also have Specials that changes daily.

Ais Kacang, RM 7.50

The Ice Kacang was tasty and refreshing. I absolutely loved the fact that it was filled with ingredients here, enought to last you till the last mouth. You can expect crunchy peanuts, jelly, sago balls, cincau, red bean, corn. The shredded ice and gula melaka was just the right amount. I enjoyed this πŸ™‚

Nasi Ikan Cencaru Cili, RM 15.90

This was one of their daily specials. A simple delicious meal for lunch. Fresh fish cooked well, perfectly crispy on the outside, warm on the inside. The red chili sambal/paste on the fish provided it an extra ‘kick’. I thought runny nose would start soon after due to the heat from the chili but it was surprisingly tolerable, especially when eaten with the rice.

Nasi Lemak Ayam Rendang, RM 15.90

This dish was yummy too. I especially loved the ayam rendang and the nasi lemak sambal. The chicken was cooked to perfection, literally falls off the bone. It was tender, juicy and flavorful. The sambal wasn’t too spicy, it packed the right amount of heat. Add in the rice and kacang… ooo, a ‘sedap’ dish.

Would I head back here? Yea, I would. Even though their Menu is small, the food they offer has a simple, homecooked feel to it, which I appreciate. The atmosphere was also an enjoyable one.
