It has been 2 long years since I’ve dropped by this restaurant. Covid 19 and MCO was mainly the culprit and then, work. I finally found some free time to drive over yesterday. It took me 35 minutes to reach and 30 minutes to head back to KL.
As far as I can recall, this restaurant serves one of the Best Chicken Rice in KL/Selangor. I honestly would be really sad if they end up ‘tutup kedai’ due to the pandemic. Understandable but saddening nonetheless. So, when I was told last week that they were still opened for business, I had to drop by for a taste 😁
I arrived shortly after lunch hour and business was evidently still booming. Despite it being 1.30 pm, there was still a que waiting to be seated.
Parking: It is unlikely that you’d manage to find a parking spot by the roadside during the day. Worry not as there is an open carpark close by. We parked there for free.
Food was good. Oooo yes it was. Quality did not drop and despite being fullhouse, customer service was excellent. The steamed chicken was excellent – right texture, right amount and tasted awesome. The rice was delicious, good enough to eat on its own. I think they cook it with chicken stock/bones? It has an appealing taste. The chicken rice came with a side of soup + 5 fishballs. The balls were springy, which indicated its freshness, tasted good. Overall, an excellent visit. I’d be back for more.
