Popsicola KL @ MAHSA Avenue, PJ – tacos and weekend bazaar πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

MAHSA Avenue is fast becoming the place to hang out at during the weekends. I usually drop by on a weekday and it’s a lot more quiet. However, of late, I’ve seen many videos on social media depicting a fun filled day here on weekends, with bazaars, live music, food and etc. Since I was at this side of town on Sunday, I figured it would be a good time to join in the weekend fun. Besides that, Popsicola, their new poolside bar/cafe has been on my list of eateries to try. It’s was a good time to drop by.

Yups, it sure did feel and look like a poolside bar. On a windy and bright sunny day, this would be a good spot to simply hang out and watch the day go by while sipping on a cool glass of ice tea.

I decided to go for the tacos just so that I’d still have enough space in my stomach to ‘hantam’ some desserts at the bazaar πŸ˜„ Between the two, I liked the shrimp one better. There were 5 to 6 prawns, grilled pineaples, salsa with lemon zest. You can expect a flavorful dish with a Mexican influence.

The Pad Krapow wasn’t my favorite. I suppose it would have been okay if it was not a lil too salty. It consisted of minced chicken, basil, long beans and an egg. With rice, the saltiness would likely be toned down but with just a thin piece of flatbread and nothing else to influence the saltiness, it becomes evident. The addition of egg helped though to balance the flavors.

Once that was done, we decided to take a walk through the weekend bazaar. It sure was a stark difference from weekdays 😁. The artisanal marketplace, Kedai, are open weekdays and weekends. Here you’d find several cafes, beauty products, a tattoo studio, a mani-pedi, a hair salon, a beauty centre, shoe shop, gift shop … basically a one stop centre for pampering. So, during weekdays, you’d still find people walking about because there are many interesting things to discover. However, during the weekends, it was a complete change. It was bustling with activities, people everywhere. There was live music, food and drinks, cloths, henna tattoo, beauty products, shoes and many more.

If I have some time to spare during the weekends with nothing planned yet, I would not mind heading here and wasting my time away. There are plenty of choice in regards to what to eat and then I can walk around aimlessly, check out what the bazaar has to offer. It was what I did this time and I had plenty of fun πŸ™‚
