The Dough Factory at Bandar Sri Damansara - the Chili Crab Pasta... 😍😍

We initially intended to head to BEAM cafe but came across The Dough Factory on our way in. Located literally a few steps away from one another, it certainly was not here during my last visit 3 years ago. So, change of plans. We ended up having brunch at this cafe instead. The Dough Factory is just over a year old and with its rustic, industrial theme, is quickly becoming a fan favorite in the area. This cafe is run by the same folks behind the popular Touche Pastries in Seksyen 17, PJ. Primarily known for their tasty, buttery pastries .. one can expect the same quality and selection here.

The cafe occupies two floors. The ground floor is where most choose to sit. However, if you require more privacy and a quieter setting, upstairs would be ideal. The staffs here were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Customer service was good.

Chicken Rendang Puff, Rm 7.80 + Carrot Cake, RM 16 + Chili Crab Pasta, RM 29

We started off with a pastry and a slice of cake. All of us were hungry and so, while waiting for the pasta, we decided to munch on some light bites. We used to order the exact ones at Touche and guess what? It tasted the same. Crispy, buttery puff with tasty, flavorful filling.

The cake was good too. The top of the cake was a tad dry, the kind of dry that arises as a result of being out in the open? It was not in the open though, so I am clueless 🤔 However, as you start digging in, it certainly was dense and moist, well flavored, with plenty of walnuts. I enjoyed it.

This was their bestselling pasta and it was delicious. I was extremely surprised with the amount of crab meat in this dish. Very generous. I would not have expected this much but I loved it. The more, the merrier. Yum!!

It tasted lovely. I couldnt get enough of it. Plenty of noodles, crab meat, prawns, garlic with spicy, sweetish gravy. Ooo yes, I wouldn’t mind having a go at this again.

Would I head back here? Bandar Sri Damansara is not an area I regularly visit. However, when I do end up in the area, I’d keep The Dough Factory in mind. That Chili Crab Pasta was memorable.
