Undisclosed Location is one of the latest openings in Petaling Jaya. Having been in operation for over 3 weeks now, they are located in the same vicinity as the popular bakery cafe, Dou Dou Bake. On the opposite row from one another but same area.
Undisclosed Location is the second outlet. The first being RINSE KL in Bandar Sri Damansara. Though I have not dropped by for a visit ever since Covid 19 happened, it was one of my favorite cafes on that side of town – RINSE @ Bandar Sri Damansara – Niceee 🙂 (Pork Free)
The eatery occupies a corner lot and has both indoor and outdoor area. It certainly is fast becoming a neighborhood favorite. I arrived at lunch hour and as time passed, more and more people kept coming in. In no time, it was fullhouse. Customer service was good. Despite being crowded, food arrived quickly.
Undisclosed Location not only offers solid main meals, they have a selection of cakes too.
Varuval Chicken Tacos, RM25
This dish includes 2 tacos with a side of salad. As its name suggest, it did have the ‘indian’ element to it. The chicken varuval consisted of tasty minced chicken. Although the Varuval aspect to it was evident, to me it was a tad mild. The spiciness, flavors were somewhat muted down. I usually enjoy varuval that is packed with spices and provide me with a burst of flavors. Here, it did provide me that but its the mild version of what I am use to. However, when the rest of the ingredients were included, the whole dish turned out pretty good. Their homemade sourcream which to me tasted like Mooru, Indian yogurt was a perfect addition. Together with the onions, chicken varuval and guacamole, it did provide me with the burst of flavors I desired.
Salted Egg Chicken Pasta, RM25
I was told that this is a crowd favorite and since I am a fan of salted egg, ordering this dish was a no brainer. There were 4 pieces of crispy chicken strips with salted egg pasta, broccoli. It was good. If you are a fan of salted egg, you’d enjoy it and if you are not, you would most probably enjoy their pesto pasta better, another crowd favorite of theirs. As I am a fan of salted egg, this pasta suited me just fine. I liked it.
Bubur ChaCha Cake, RM16
This was an absolute delight. It had a variety of texture – creamy, gooey gelatin, cakey … I loved it. The taste, yea it was bubur chacha. I dont know how they managed to take a soupy dessert and make a solid cake version but they sure were successful. The coconut flakes on the top was a good touch. Loved it.
