Bomboloni lovers, rejoice. There is a new cafe in town serving up some delicious bomboms for all you lovers.
Just over 2 months over, Dough by Meg is located along a quiet row of shops, attached to a boutique hotel (currently up for sale), just a stonethrow away from the ever busy Changkat Bukit Bintang. In contrast to Changkat, this particular side of town is relatively calmer and quieter. It makes for a good place to chill, away from the hustle and bustle.

The cafe was relatively quiet. It’s a perfect spot to sit and relax, as well as get work done. I spent almost 3 hours on my laptop there and it was bliss. Customer service was good and parking was easy, we parked by the roadside.
We arrived around 2 ish pm and there were only 4 flavors left. All the flavors in the image below was sold out.

I was really looking forward to the Biscoff as well as Valrhona Chocolate & Salted Caramel flavors. Sadly, all was sold out by the time I dropped by. What was available though was London Fog Earl Grey, Classic Pistachio, Lemon Cheese and Thai Milk Tea. All of which looked delicious and tempting.

If you guys want more choices, best you pay Dough by Meg a visit by 2 pm as most flavors tend to be sold out after that. They get quite a lot of takeaway orders and so, they tend to run out fast. When I ordered my Pistachio bomboloni, there were 3 more left. When I return to the counter 10 minutes later to get myself another one, all 3 pieces were gone and that particular flavor was sold out.

Bomboloni: London Fog Earl Grey, RM 11 + Pistachio, RM 12

The texture of the bombolonis were nice – fluffy and bouncy with plenty of creamy, custard-ish filling. Both flavors were great. Pistachio was obviously a crowd favorite. You’d immediately be able to tell what it was after your first mouth, especially with bits and pieces of pistachios evident. Biting into it was a delight. However, my favorite would be the London Fog Earl Grey flavor. It had a silky uniqueness to it which I liked, was not too sweet either. I honestly thought that these bomboms were going to fill me up but surprisingly, they are easy on the stomach.
Would I be back here? Yes, I would. The bombolonis were yummy. I look forward to giving the other flavors a try.
