I have not ventured into Ara Damansara as deep as I did today. Usually, I only go as far as Citta Mall and The Oasis. Swtstrt was located deeper in, within a row of shops that I had no idea existed, lol.
The cafe has no signage/signboard. So, if you are driving past, it is easy to miss it. All you’d see is a grey colored wall on the outside. Good thing Swtstrt is located on the Ground floor. You’ll notice it soon enough as the green inner wall is bound to catch your eye.

The cafe was quiet and cosy. A perfect place to indulge in some yummy cakes. Regardless of wether you come in a group or alone, this space is inviting enough and comfortable. I initially was simply looking for a quiet spot to get some work done in between the 2 hours I had to spare before my next meeting. However, after checking out their desserts, I was tempted. As a result, I ended up with two slices of cake and a hotdog with zero work done.
* * They have wifi here as well as strategically placed power sockets. Parking was easy. Plenty of spot available right outside the eatery.
Menu

Chocolate Cake , RM 7 + Marble Cake, RM 8

Oooo man. The cakes here were finger lickin’ goooood. If you fancy tasty cakes with a freshly baked homemade feel, the desserts here would certainly satisfy you. I honestly did not expect it to taste as good as it did.
For RM 7, you’d get a large piece of cake. Preheated before serving, the warm temperature enhances its overall denseness. Soft and moist it was, topped with thickened chocolate ganache. Ooo man, sedappppppp!! ππ
The Marble Cake was equally as delicious. Light and buttery, it had the distinct taste that usually accompanies this particular cake. I especially loved the thickened chocolate canache at the top, it provided an added chocolatty taste to the cake overall. Just like the chocolate cake, this too came in a generous serving size.
Street Hotdog, RM 20

This was basically a Coney Hot Dog – a hot dog with mustard sauce, chili sauce and caramelized onions. It was simple yet tasty. This was not a usual dish I’d have for lunch, especially so because it is rather uncommon but the rarity of it was appealing. Together with a serving of fries, it does fill you up once you are done.
Overall, this was a good find. Excellent cakes and good food. Awesome ambiance too. If it was located close to me, I’d certainly be a regular visitor. Since it is not, once in an blue moon perhaps.
