Chocolate cupcake Dark Chocolate Marble Loaf desserts Komune Living & Wellness Mee Siam Modern food court New 2022 : May Pastries XO Fried Rice

Lucky Lucky Foodstore at Bandar Tun Razak, KL – a modern day food court & kopitiam fusion

Yup, that sounds right. A modern day fusion between a food court and a kopitiam. Lucky Lucky Foodstore is one of the latest openings in town and it offers you a selection of dishes under one roof. For now, the types of cuisines available are Chinese, Malay, Mexican and desserts/pastries. The food court is located in Komune Living & Wellness, Bandar Tun Razak and is run by the same folks behind Botanica + Co. So, I suppose one can expect good quality here. The building is located right next to Taman Tasik Permaisuri, a park. There are both indoor and outdoor seating here. If you choose to sit outside, you can feast your eyes … there is a certain calming effect when seated among greens.

Parking: There is a carpark within the building itself. Plenty of spots available . During my entire time there, there was no charge. I parked for free. As this is a relatively new establishment, perhaps the free parking is until a certain period of time.

Menu

Lucky Kopi : Mee Siam + Kopi, RM 8

I started off with some Mee Siam. For RM 3, it came in a pretty good serving size. It tasted good too. The kopi was a little too thin/light for me. I was expecting a more ‘kau’ version, similar to that from a kopitiam but the one here was milder.

Fook Kin Chow : XO Fried Rice (Small), RM 15

This dish I enjoyed. It was pretty much my first time tasting this particular fried rice and it tasted yummy. A large portion size. It is similar in size to a medium elsewhere. There were lots of chicken, prawns and etc. While I liked this dish, my friend was of the opinion that there was too little XO sauce used. It is a matter of opinion. To me, I liked it as it was 😊

Little Boco: Dark Chocolate Marble Loaf Cafe, RM 10 + Guanaja Cupcake, RM 8

The desserts looked tempting. Despite me being full, I could not resist having a taste. The cupcake had a thickened dark chocolate ganache on the top which when eaten on its own was bitter-ish but was a delight when eaten with the bottom. I guess the sweetness from the cupcake counters the bitterness and together it makes for a good cupcake. The marble loaf was delicious. It was light and buttery, dense with a chocolate coating on the top.

Would I had back here? My experience here was positive. So yea, I would not mind heading back here. I’d like to give the other dishes available a try.
