We visited this popular neighborhood kopitiam recently for lunch. I generally steer clear of this particular area because it almost always is congested, from morning to night. The area I am referring to is the same area that has Sunway Nexis and Sunway Giza within it. This kopitiam is located within the row of shops very near Sunway Giza, walking distance. As I did not have to drive today and was driven by my friends instead, I had no issue tagging along, minus the usual stresses I’d usually face in the area.

We arrived after lunch hour and so, the working crowd were long gone, leaving the kopitiam semi empty. Which was great for us. Why? Less people, the quicker food arrives 😁
Customer service was great. The workers were friendly and welcoming. Attended to us almost immediately after we seated.
Menu

Kaya & Butter Toast (double), RM 5.10

I am not one to resist the plain ol’ jam and kaya toast whenever I see it available at kopitiams. So, naturally I’d order it here too because for some reason, I can never replicate it at home. It goes without saying that it was yummy. Lightly toasted white bread with butter and kaya. Yummmm 😍
Curry Mee with Minced Chicken and Prawn, RM 11.30

We initally ordered the Curry Chicken version of this Curry Mee but was told that the curry chicken was sold out. However, they have the minced chicken + prawn option available and we went with that. Here I thought that the minced chicken meant really small pieces that are usually used for garnish but nope, you’d get plenty of sliced chicken the size of your pinky in addition to 4 pieces of prawns. Add in some fuchuk, tauhu, taugeh and a good portion of mee hoon with tasty, flavorful broth, it made up a yummy bowl of curry mee.
Tom Yum Fried Beehoon, RM 11.30

This plate of fried noodles were surprisingly good. We all enjoyed it. Texturewise, it was not too dry or too soggy, the one here was just right. Tastewise, the ‘tom yum’ bit was a little on the mild side but as a fried beehoon dish, it was delicious. It included a good portion of noodles with egg, fishcakes, prawns, taugeh and surprisingly – couliflower. That was a first for me 😁 but hey, it went well with the dish. Loved it.
Would I head back here? Sure. I liked the food. I would not mind heading back here for another visit.
