I’ve been seeing videos and positive reviews on this eatery making its rounds on TikTok of late. The craving for delicious pastries is on the high now for me and so, seeing fluffy, buttery visuals of them has got my tongue wagging …. and this was how I found my way here, eventually.

Janice Siew is the brainchild behind this bakery cafe. If I am not mistaken, it all started off as an online business with a central kitchen – Petiteserie by JS ( Petiteserie By JS Menu | Order Now ) selling primarily pastries, desserts and seasonals boxes/gifts. She and her team also supplies the goodies to cafes and restaurants within KL. From what I’ve seen and read, they sure do have lots of fans and customers. As of early last month, they finally opened a physical outlet – Petiteserie Bakery & Cafe at Ara Damansara.
My friend and I arrived at lunch hour to a full hour. There was only one empty table available and I snagged that up. You’d be able to see all kinds of folks here. There were working folks on their lunch break, there were families from grandkids to grandma/pa having lunch together and then, there were people who live in the area as well as friends get-togethers. This eatery certainly is a neighborhood favorite. There was an air of familiarity between the customers and the workers here. Almost as if they visit regularly enough for a sense of rapport to be built.
Parking: It was easy. There were parking spots available in front of and surrounding this eatery. We parked here for a good 3 hours, FOC.
Menu

Besides pastries, they also serve pasta, burgers, sandwiches and etc.

Salted Caramel Pecans Cinnamon Roll, RM 9 + Smoked Duck Pesto Danish, RM 11 + Pain Au Chocolate, RM 9.50

Between the three pastries ordered, this was my favorite. Cinnamon roll lovers including myself will certainly loveeee this. The pastry was soft and buttery with a good spread of salted caramel on the top. Each mouth you take, the distinct taste of cinnamon was evident. An absolute joy to bite into.

I wanted to add a savoury pastry into the mix and this was a good choice. It tasted like a pizza topping to me, a yummy one. The filling was a combination of pesto and seasoned duck meat. Biting into it, with the soft but flaky, buttery pastry was yummy.

This I ordered because I was told that it was popular. I generally do not like this particular pastry and this one here was no different. Perhaps I am one of those who generally dislikes the pastry and chocolate combination. If you are a fan, you’d like it.
Would I head back here? For that cinnamon roll, yes, I’d be heading back. I also heard that the pasta here is delicious. Maybe I’ll give that a try next.
