Today, I visited this briyani stall that has been making its round on social media. Seeing several positive reviews by others was tempting enough that I decided to drop by for a taste. Even more so because it has been a while since I’ve last had briyani.
Location-wise, it is very close to Aman Suria, literally 3 minutes away. As Paparegs is located inside Restaurant TaiKong, you can use that as a point of reference on Waze.
Method of payment, besides cash, they also accept QR pay, TouchnGo E-Wallet.

Menu

Chicken Rendang Briyani, RM 10.90 + Mutton Varuval Briyani, RM 14.80 + 2 eggs, 1.50 each

Food was good. There was no fancy getup here. What you’d get is tasty briyani with a home-cooked feel. Between the two dishes, my favorite would be the Mutton Varuval Briyani. The meat was tender and juicy, flavorful. The use of spices was evident. I liked it. It was good enough to be eaten with the dense long grained rice. Flavorful indeed. Each dish included a portion of sweet vegetable acar and dhal. The Chicken Rendang was good. We got served a juicy piece of chicken breast with a flavorful gravy. Both dishes were yummy but my favorite was the Mutton Varuval.
All in all, a good experience. Would I head back here? Once in a blue moon perhaps as it took me quite a while to get there from my location.
