We recently visited this new cafe, tucked in a corner of the Imazium building in Uptown, Damansara Utama. If you are like me and are not too familiar with the area and all its shortcuts, the easiest way to get here is through Starling Mall (if you are driving).
As coming across an empty parking spot is close to impossible on a weekday, during lunch hour.. the best thing to do is park at the mall. The parking rate here is: First hour, free. Second and third hour, RM 1 each. Subsequent hours, RM 2. Not only is it affordable to park here, it also has a connection to Imazium. All you have to do is head towards the post office, located in the mall, on the Ground floor. Once you are near the post office, you’d notice the way to Imazium. Take that connection and it will lead you outside, to the next building which is Imazium.
The cafe itself was well spread out, spacious. There were plenty of seats available, both indoor and outdoor. Staffs were friendly and helpful.

As soon as you enter the cafe, you’d be able to feast your eyes on their dessert section. The items are all strategically displayed right there at the entrance to entice you. As much as I tried resisting, it did not work. My tastebuds started tingling as soon as I saw them. Sooo many options, some of which included my favorite ingredients – pistachio, nangka, banana, chocolate and etc.

Menu

Vanilla & Chocolate, RM 12.90 + French Mango Croissant, RM 11.90 + Cajun Chicken Croissant Sandwich, RM 25.90

As I fully intended to have lunch here, I opted to try a ‘lighter’ dessert, one that would not fill me up as much. The French Mango Croissant was delicious, I loved it. It had mango puree as filling within a soft, buttery croissant. Add in the generous sprinkle of nuts as topping … so yummy! This dessert I enjoyed tremendously. The Vanilla & Chocolate was okay but I am on the fence about this one. When I looked at it while it was on display, it looked fancy. It resembled a long bar of a chocolate coated dessert with nuts, almost similar to a Ferrero Roche texture. Then, once it was cut into, served and upon eating it though, it essentially was a marble cake. A marble cake with a chocolate and nut coating. Haiyaaaaa. I made a mistake, I should have enquired about what was on the inside, which I didnt. My bad. The dessert wasn’t bad but it isn’t everyday that I come across other more colorful, unique desserts. I should have gone for those. Haiyaaaaaaaaaaa.

For lunch, I intended to go for their Set Lunch which was available from 11 am – 3 pm. Butter rice with roasted chicken, acar + drink .. sounded like a yummy combination to me. Sadly, the Set Lunch was sold out by the time I arrived at 12.45 pm. Haiyaaaaaaaaaaaa. So, I ended up going for the Cajun Chicken Croissant Sandwich instead. It included a croissant with cajun chicken, caramelized onions, tomatoes, cucumber and cheddar cheese. The dish also included two sides – fries and salad. It was okay. I think I’d rather eat the Cajun Chicken with bread as oppose to croissant. It simply is a matter of preference. I think bread would have provided more ummpph! They do offer sandwiches using sourdough bread too but for some reason the Cajun Chicken caught my eye and I went with that, which comes served with croissant. Other than that and my dislike for cheddar cheese, the rest of the sandwich was pretty good. I liked how they stuffed as much chicken and caramelized onions as they can into the croissant. I enjoyed eating that and ended up finishing the whole dish. At the end of it, I was full and content.
Would I head back here? Yessss! I need to get my hands on the Cempedak and Pistachio dessert they offer.
