Baked Mediterranean Chicken Rice Chicken Katsu Curry Rice Pork Free Set Lunch Taman Paramount food

Asa Cafe at Taman Paramount, PJ – Yummy Chicken Katsu (Pork free)

This was an accidental discovery. We initially intended to have lunch at Fluffed Cafe but as usual, that was a full house. As we were short in time, we opted to drive around the block to see what else was available and eventually, we stumbled upon Asa Cafe.

The cafe had a nice feel to it – a calm and easy vibe. I liked the glass/plastic panel they had on the ceiling that allowed sunlight to come in and brighten the place up.

So, we were right on time to give their set lunches a try, which is available from 11.30 am – 2.30 pm. While their pastries looked tempting, we needed food that would fill us up seing that we skipped breakfast that morning.

Menu

Chicken Katsu Curry Rice, RM 25

This was a good dish. I liked it very much. The Chicken Katsu was da’ bomb. It had a crispy outer layer and a nice, warm chewy inside. Perfect to eat with the Japanese curry and rice. Honestly, I would not mind having this same dish again at my next visit.

** The Set Lunch included a glass of Iced Lemon Tea

Baked Mediterranean Chicken Rice, RM 24

This was one of their signature dishes. The baked chicken with sauce had a middle eastern/indian influence to it. A nice flavor to go with the soft and tender chicken. The dish also included rice and a side of roasted vegetables. While the dish was pretty good, between the two, I prefer the Chicken Katsu Curry Rice.
