Burger Fettuccine Pesto Live performance Mala Chicken Burger Megah Rise Mall food New cafe in Taman Megah Open Daily open till 2 am Pasta Pork Free Taman Megah

Oomph at Megah Rise, Taman Megah, PJ – Yum! (Pork free)

We recently had a meetup at Megah Rise Mall. It was my first time visiting it since it opened. Initially intended to eat at Bagelhaus but we ended up elsewhere. Despite looking forward to trying their bagels, we decided to give it a miss this time as the eatery was small and did not seem like they’d be able to accommodate a large group. Perhaps it was meant to operate as a grab and go πŸ€”. Nevertheless, I’d give it a try another time.

Anyways, as there were several other eateries nearby, we werent exactly short of choices. Between a cafe and a kopitiam, we decided to try out a cafe as we were in the mood for some Western food. This is how we ended up at Oomph.

We ended up parking in the basement carpark of the mall. Parking here is easy and affordable. First 3 hours: RM 2.

The cafe was pretty large, spread out. It had an industrial theme going on, grey walls and etc. Design-wise, I liked it. Between the grey walls, some funky lighting and the greens/plants, it certainly brings about a sense of relaxation and provided an awesome atmosphere for a meet up.

They also have live performances here everyday, from 8.30 pm onwards. A different performer daily, it would not be the same person singing everyday. I was told that it is best to make reservations if you intend to drop by at night as it tends to get crowded at night.

Menu

Fettuccine Pesto, RM 23

I love anything pesto and when I saw this dish available on the menu, I went for it. The use of fettuccine rather than other pasta was awesome, it was perfect to eat with the homemade pesto sauce and chicken. Together with sauteed mushroom, cherry tomatoes and parmesan cheese, it made a simlle yet delicious dish.

Mala Whole Leg Chicken Burger, RM 27

This burger included a thick, juicy patty that consisted of a whole boneless chicken leg with cheddar cheese and peach. The patty was flavorful and a tad spicy, the peach provided some sweetness. The combination was certainly yummy.

It isnt everyday that I get served fries and onion rings with the burger. Either one, sure but both, rarely. So, I enjoyed munching on it here.

Overall, I had a good experience here. From customer service to the food, it was all positive. I plan to drop by for a visit again soon, to check out their night performance.
