Noodly Hut at PJ New Town – Noodles and more

This was an accidental discovery. We were in the area to buy some things and as we were exiting, we saw Noodly Hut.

Noodly Hut has been operating for 4 months now and is somewhat a family run business. It initially started with a restaurant in Cheras, serving similar food, managed and run by the mother. The daughter subsequently ventured to establish her own restaurant, hence leading to the opening of Noodly Hut.

Menu

Pumkin Barley, RM 3 + Chinese Tea, RM 1

The Pumpkin Barley was good here. What I liked most about it was the generous amount of shredded pumpkin and barley. With every sip, you are bound to get a little bit of both. It was less sweet, which meant that I got to enjoy the essense of the drink. I’d defitely order it again.

Curry Mee (Big), RM 12

The size threw us off, lol. Usually, when this dish comes with 2 options for size, it simply meant just a little bit more. Here however, an upsize literally meant a double of ‘small’. It comes in a larger than average bowl. From its size itself, you can tell that its the large option. The ingredients too were doubled. Lots of noodles, fuchuk, fishballs, brinjal, longbeans, tauhu. It was fit for two people. The curry, while not too milky, had plenty of flavor and was not too spicy. If you like your dish spicy, one can simply request for extra sambal to pour into the mix. Yum!

Shrimp Fried Rice, RM 12

This fried rice was yummy. It was a simply Chinese style fried rice but it was ‘sedap’. The rice portion was large, so you can bet you’d have a full stomach by the end of it,lol. It included a good portion of small shrimps, beans, carrots, fried anchovies and a fried egg. Yummmmm!

Would I be back here for another visit? Yes, I would. I liked the simple restaurant setup, good customer service, food arrived within 8 minutes and most importantly, it tasted good. I’d be back for another visit.
